Our energetic field is a little bubble that surrounds us. It is our energetic space where we exchange energy to and from others. It is important to maintain a strong energetic field so that we don’t allow others to drain us through psychic cording, or through taking our energy in an uneven, energetic exchange.
There are many energy practices that I utilize in the morning to set the tone for my day. These practices include energy clearing, enhancement and protection. It is a good practice to also clear your energy when you get home to ensure that any energy from others is removed.
One easy way to do this is to use a selenite wand. I keep one on my nightstand. I just take the wand and in sweeping motions, just take the wand and I sweep a few inches off my body – up and down like I am dusting this energetic bubble. I go all around my body including the back of my body, arms and head.
Selenite is one of the crown chakra crystals that is has clean, clear energy that is able to cleanse other crystals that are placed near it and is well known for its purification capabilities. It is also one of the crystals that doesn’t ever require cleansing itself. Some crown chakra crystals can be overstimulating, but selenite has a calming energy that can elevate your energy without overwhelming it.
In case you are not familiar with selenite, it is a white crystal that is delicate with a Mohs hardness of 2 – which means it is pretty fragile. It is tabular, sheetlike and can be sold in its raw form in long, rectangular shapes. Much care is required when handling it due to its delicate structure. And it will dissolve in water, so don’t recommend keeping it near water or running water over it.

I personally keep a selenite lamp and wand on my nightstand and keep selenite candle holders around my home. You can also place selenite raw long pieces in your windowsills to ensure positive energy in your home.
I consider selenite to be one of the must haves in any crystal collection. If you are looking for an all-around knock out crystal that will cleanse your energy or home, I highly recommend selenite for its uplifting and calming energy!
