My Top 5 Crystal Experiences
Posted by Heather Burket on
I thought I’d do something a little different in today’s article and talk about a few personal experiences that I’ve had working with crystals. But before I do, it’s probably a good idea to talk a little about my background. My background is science – I have a degree in Microbiology and a Masters in Hazardous Materials Management. Although I’m very scientifically minded, I’m also very open and have always been intrigued by spirituality and asking the deeper questions in life. Even though I am open, if you would have mentioned crystals and the concept of their healing ability to...
Lepidolite

One of the first things that you will notice about lepidolite, is that it has a very different ‘feel’ to it. Even when polished, it still has this kind of grainy property that is unusual. It is also unique in its coloring – purple is not a very common crystal color. While we are used to seeing the dark rich purple of amethyst, lepidolite is more of a lavender color. This week we are taking a deeper dive into Selenite. Selenite was one of the first crystals I was immediately drawn to. I think as an Empath – we intuitively are guided to what we need. Selenite is an Empath’s best friend. As Empaths, we have a tendency to take on the energy around us as well as other people’s energy. Selenite serves the dual purpose of clearing away negative energy as well as lifting our vibration. Let’s take a look at some Selenite basics: The Basics Selenite is a type of gypsum. When one hears of the name “Selenite”...
Crystals for the Heart Chakra

When it comes to the heart, many of us think immediately about the concept of love. But there are many aspects to our heart center. Our heart center, or heart chakra is where love either flows or it doesn’t. So let’s look at a couple of reasons why love may not be flowing or be flowing very weakly. Self-love First, we can’t give away what we don’t have. Ultimately we need to determine if we even love ourselves. How do we know if we have self-love? Begin by asking these questions: Do you allow others to talk down to you?...
